Research focus

I am an RNA biologist in the Jagannathan lab investigating how genetic mutations that prematurely terminate the translation process affect mRNA stability, gene transcription and human health. An exciting area of my research is focused on understanding how RNA decay factors communicate changes in mRNA stability to the transcriptional machinery, and how this communication can impact disease severity in the human population, or be used for future potential RNA therapies.
