Dr Joyce Chiu leads an independent, internationally competitive research program in the UNSW Haematology Research Unit investigating the redox regulation of thrombosis. She has established innovative mass spectrometry-based approaches to quantify cysteine redox modifications and disulphide bonds, integrating these with cell biology and biochemical methods to uncover novel mechanisms regulating thrombus formation.
