Hi, I am a student and I try to understand a research article that about treatment of antibiotic-resistant bacteria by encapsulation of ZnO nanoparticles. This article use the ros activity to inhibit the bacteria and they analyze ros by DCF-DA.
I wondering why they have to pretreated the cells with NAC ? even if the DCFDA is dye ros in cells and the graph of Fluorescence intensity also present the concentration of ros. If they pretreated the cells with NAC it’s a common sense that the the intensity would be decreased. Could you please explain the reasons why they have to use NAC ? Apologies for my confusing grammar.
