Detail protocol of the T-maze, delayed non-match to place version
1. This take was conducted using a T-maze constructed to main arm (11 × 56 × 15 cm) and two side arm (11 × 45 × 15 cm).
2. Before all experiments, rats underwent 2 days of habituation, during which they were allowed to freely visit all arms with the food rewards for 10 min.
Note: food reward was used chows with the 1% sucrose water.
3. A sample phase was started after treatments (tDCS or MPH), rats were placed in the starting arm and forced to randomly enter either the right or left arm, receiving a food reward.
Note: Food rewards were performed with only one arm, and this was selected randomly.
4. The test phase was started after a 10-sec delay of a sample phase, both arms were open, and there was one food reward arm (correct) and one empty (error) arm.
Note: Placed the food reward on the opposite side of the sample phase.
Note: Specifies the sample phase (No. 4 of the protocol) and the test phase (No. 4 of the protocol) as the one trial.
5. After each trial, the rat separated by 30 min to the inter-trial interval in the house cage.
6. All animals performed more than seven trials in each session.
Note: We conducted a total of 10 sessions on a tDCS treatment session basis.
7. The index of reward performance was calculated as the average of the correct number of choices.
