1) Flies were loaded into trikinetics tubes containing food at one end and cotton at the other 24 hours after being exposed to the fungus (see paper for additional details).
2) DAM data were collected until >= 7 days after exposure using 30 second bins. Sample outupt data are included in the attached zip file ("Monitor1.txt" etc).
3) Output DAM files were anayzed using the script "findlastmvmt.py" to determine the time of the last beam break (time of last movement). Script for determining time of last movement is included in attached zip file.
4) Individual activity plots were generated for each fly from the raw data using "plotChannels.py" and checked by eye. Flies whose time of last movement were flagged by "findlastmvmt.py" were inspected. Time of last movement for these flies was determined manually from the indivdual activity plots (to ballpark) and raw data (to pinpoint 30 second interval).
5) Survival outcome (alive, dead and infected, dead and not infected) along with time of last movement were input into Excel for analysis. Time of last movement data were plotted by converting time of last movement to fractional 24 hour time and plotted using Prism.
