0.25 g pluronic copolymer F108 and 100 µL of dichloromethane (DCM) were dissolved under stirring in 7.5 mL of 2.0 M HCl solution under room temperature. DCM was dispersed in the mixture by an ultrasonication of about 2 min. Then, 268 µL mL of TEOS was added and the mixture was stirred at 800 rpm for 15 min. Afterwards, 40 µL of DEDMS was added and the reaction was allowed to continue for another 3 h. The solution was transferred to a dialysis membrane with molecular weight cut of 25,000 and soaked in 1 L of deionized water to remove the impurities. The dialysis was repeated for 5 times until the pH value of the dialysate became neutral. Then the DCM was removed by rotary evaporation at 50 °C under 150 mbar vacuum for about 15 min. The solution of SCLMs was filtered by a 0.2 μM membrane filter before further application or characterizations. The molar ratio of TEOS : DEDMS : F108 : DCM : HCl : H2O = 1 : 0.19 : 0.014 : 1.2 : 12.5 : 347.
