Rosa Lopez leads the Biomembranes and Lipid Flippases Group at the University of Copenhagen. Resesarch in the group focuses on the study of biological membranes and the lipid transporters that help maintain their properties. We mainly study lipid flippases, inward-directed ATP-dependent lipid translocators (P4 ATPases) that are required for establishment and maintenance of the phospholipid transbilayer asymmetry, vesicle formation and lipid signaling.
