Preparation of bovine serum albumin (BSA)-conjugated palmitic acid

Palmitic acid（0.01392g） was first dissolved in pure water（10ml） to a final concentration of 5 mM with robust shaking at 70 °C for at least 30 min. Once dissolved, the solution was mixed with a filtered 5 % fatty acid- and endotoxin-free BSA（0.5g） solution in 10ml phosphate buffer saline (PBS) pre-heated at 70 °C to a final concentration of 2.5 mM. Aliquots of the 2.5 mM stock solution were kept at -20 °C for further use.
