Dear Dan-Dan Ma,

Thank you for your interest in our recent work. Your question is difficult to answer, in principle yes sure it can be adapted, however keep in mind that the size of mitochondria can vary significantly from one eukaryotic organisme to the other and you need to take this into account. So the short answer is if you can adapt the first mitochondrial gradient step that consists on harvesting/separating the organelles from the rest of the cell, then everything that follows should be more or less applicable...
