protocol Protocol: In vitro Culture of Human PBMCs
Excuse me, are you sure that DMEM can be used to PBMC culture? As far as I'm concerned, DMEM is widely used in the culture of adherent cells. However, human PBMC, as a kind of suspension cells, is mostly recommended to be cultured in the medium of RPMI 1640, isn't it?

Thanks Rachel for your interest. Yes, you are right. You could use RPMI for PBMC culture. Our aim was recovery and stimulation of monocytes, so we use DMEM.
Thanks
