if the DNA is extracted properly, then the A260/280 value will be 1.8. If the absorbance value crosses 2, then there is protein contamination or RNA contamination. To reduce the absorbance value to 1.8 and decrease protein/RNA contamination, just add 5-10ul of MilliQ to the DNA. Read more Read less
