I was wondering what are the pros and cons to use Parafilm to seal the Petri dishes, compared to gaz-permeable tapes (e.g. Leukopor). Hi Johan,
I actually have had the same question, but I haven't tried to compare the effects of using parafilm vs. gas-permeable tapes.
My guess is plants might be more tolerant if there was gas
exchange because of less humidity, higher transpiration rate and
cooling. If you get to try, please share your results with us.
