Do mice have to be made into a CCI model to be able to perform mechanical anomalous pain measurements?

CCI model is a mice model of neuropathic pain symptom can result from peripheral nerve injury (but not only), while peripheral nerve injury refers to the physical damage to the nerves themselves.

Not all peripheral nerve injuries cause neuropathic pain, but neuropathic pain can result from a peripheral nerve injury.
