I just want to study the effect of drugs on peripheral nerve lesions, can I assess this directly?

CCI model is a mice model of neuropathic pain symptom can result from peripheral nerve injury (but not only), while peripheral nerve injury refers to the physical damage to the nerves themselves.

Not all peripheral nerve injuries cause neuropathic pain, but neuropathic pain can result from a peripheral nerve injury. Peripheral nerve injuries can cause pain, but not all of them are associated with persistent pain. Given this premise, all nocifensive behaviors can be tested on this model (mechanical threshod, thermical ecc...)
