In cucumber, we selected the fruits on flowering day with high density and complete development of GT and NGT. On the day of flowering, the average width of NGT and GT on the cucumber fruits is about 700 μm and 30 μm respectively. Even if part of NGT was broken, there was still a huge difference in width between the two, and there was no overlap in width, which hardly affected the subsequent separation operation.
If extraction is considered in other species, the appropriate period and sampling tissue of plant trichome development should be selected first, and the widths of NGT and GT should be calculated on the tissue to be extracted. Steel screens should be selected according to the different widths, and the separation of GT and NGT should be realized through step-by-step screening.
