protocol Protocol: Acetyl Bromide Soluble Lignin (ABSL) Assay for Total Lignin Quantification from Plant Biomass

I have now measured the absorbance value and am ready to calculate the ABSL content result, how do I get the extinction coefficient I want, thank you very much!

Hi Jing, the extinction coefficient depends on the plant species for which you are measuring ABSL, but these values have been determined for many common species - see Table 1 and this reference: Johnson, D. B., Moore, W. E., and Zank, L. C. (1961). The spectrophotometric determination of lignin in small wood samples. Tappi, 44, 793-798.
