Actin and Tubulin are common reference genes used in B. cinerea gene expression studies-that's why we selected them for our work. We chose the primer sequences based on other work that has been published using the same genes and primer sequences: Ettenauer, J., Piñar, G., Tafer, H., and Sterflinger, K. (2014). Quantification of fungal abundance on cultural heritage using real time PCR targeting the β-actin gene.Front Microbiol 5: 262; Ren, H., Wu, X., Lyu, Y., Zhou, H., Xie, X., Zhang, X. and Yang, H., 2017.
