How can we tell that the TCA solution has stopped the uptake of further casein?

I added 5ml of 5% TCA solution when carrying out the assay. I would then allow it to incubate for 30 mins at room temperature. The bacteria I am working on is a mesophile isolate from fertile soil. Is the amount and concentration of TCA solution added in sufficient to stop the reaction. Read more Read less more less
