In the step 26 to allow reperfusion of the MCA-territory, why the silicone rubber coating from the monofilament tip will still remain in the ICA? May I remove it too?

When removing the occluder the knot is tight as you pull it out so it does not bleed. It just pulls the tip off. Once in a while you can get it to come back out with the rest of the occluder. In my experience it has not cause any issues staying. The blood flows around it.
