It is our opinion that this protocol is a promising complementary approach to sequencing based methods to study effects of different stimuli and inhibitors on RNAPII mediated transcription. 


Advantages of this method:

  • rapid and relatively inexpensive
  • quantitative and sensitive
  • single cell analysis
  • takes cell cycle into consideration
