Why use absorb by 2 wavelength (485 nm) and (535 nm), how do you do when know absorbance?

Its a fluorescence test and requires two aspects: shorter wave wavelength causes excitation of the test molecule fluorescein and the other longer wavelength measure the emission intensity as fluorescein decays. This is done over time and the area under the curve against control is integrated and calculated sum. An absorbance only unit cannot measure this. I think DDPH is absorbance only test for ORAC, or something like that.
