Can saline be used instead of PBS for intraperitoneal injection of mice?

I'm in the middle of an immunization study. When the mice were injected with the Candida albicans, PBS solution was used. I would like to ask whether normal saline could be used as the solvent instead of PBS.

Hello!

I don't know if PBS can be used as a solvent for intraperitoneal injection. In fact, we use saline all the time! PBS has not yet been tried. Generally, 0.9% saline is used for intraperitoneal injection. Good luck with your experiment!
