I found that the bands with small-molecule proteins (about 15kd) have always been wavy in western blots, some people say that it is a problem with gel, but I ran 36kd of protein at the same time, and its bands were straight. When running gel, I start running with 90V, and then switch to Read more Read less more less

1. It may be that the gel is not completely solidified or the sealing gel is not sealed, you can extend the gel time.

2. I have made a size of 17Kda protein, I ran 15% of the gel. First, run 80V to the separation gel, and then change to 120V, you can try it.

3. Excessive sample volume may lead to this result, try to reduce the volume, and it is best to centrifuge the protein sample before loading.
