Why the actual band size of Western blotting is different from that expected?

The size of the bands developed by Western blotting was different from that expected.Can someone tell me why?

Western blotting is a technique for isolating proteins by size usually, smaller proteins migrate faster in the gel but the migration rate is also affected by other factors, so the actual band size observed may differ from what has expected common factors include:post-translational modifications, post-translational shearing, splicing variants, polymers...
