How long do I need to boil my protein sample for denaturation before I run an SDS-PAGE experiment?

I would like to perform an SDS-PAGE experiment to detect the molecular weight of proteins expressed by eukaryotic cells. How long should I boil my protein sample?

After adding the loading buffer, the protein samples can be fully denatured by heating at 100°C or in a boiling water bath for 3-5 minutes.
