Cell lines

TNBC cell lines BT-20, BT-549, MDA-MB-231, Hs 578T and an immortalized human epithelial cell line MCF10A were offered by the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC). In brief, cells were cultured in Roswell Park Memorial Institute 1640 (RPMI-1640) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), 2 mM L-glutamine, 100 U/ml penicillin (Sigma-Aldrich; Merck KGaA) and 100 µg/ml streptomycin (Sigma-Aldrich; Merck KGaA). The cells were maintained in a humid atmosphere at 37˚C in the presence of 5% CO₂.
