The PGC1α plasmid was originally generated by B. Spiegelman, obtained from Addgene (plasmid 8887). The Prdm1 (Blimp-1) plasmid was a gift from A. Poholek (University of Pittsburgh)56. 293T cells were co-transfected with the plasmids, then next day, the Luciferase Assay System (E1500, Fisher) was used to assay luminescence, according to manufacturer’s instructions.
