Quantification of the integrated DNA of lentiviral particles was examined by repetitive-sampling Alu-HIV PCR, according to the protocol “quantification of integrated HIV DNA by Alu-HIV PCR” [25–27]. The sequences of both PCR primers (Supplementary Table 4) were examined and found compatible with the used lentiviral particles. Six replicates were used for each sample.
