GeneMANIA (http://www.genemania.org) database was used to construct the PPI network and explore the putative functions of up-loaded genes (Warde-Farley et al., 2010). For a given query list, GeneMANIA analyzes target genes with functionally similar genes together to obtain regulatory networks.
