The NR-6 scale is a short version of the Nature-Relatedness Scale. It consists of six items rated on a five-point scale (from 1 = “strongly disagree” to 5 = “strongly agree”), evaluating one’s level of self-identification and subjective sense of connectedness with nature [31]. Illustrative items are “My relationship to nature is an important part of who I am” and “I always think about how my actions affect the environment”. The total score is calculated by averaging the six items, whereby higher scores indicate a stronger connection with nature.
