The fingerprinting of antagonistic bacterial isolates was performed by repetitive extragenic palindromic-PCR (rep-PCR). The rep-PCR was carried out by using the BOX-A1R primer (5′-CTACGGCAAGGCGACGCTGACG-3′) [24]. The PCR product obtained was subjected to electrophoresis with a 500 bp DNA ladder (Merck Genei, India) using 2% agarose gel in 1 × TAE buffer containing 10 μg/ml of EtBr. The generated fingerprints were further analyzed by hierarchical clustering using DICE similarity coefficient in Phoretix 1D Pro gel analysis software (TotalLab Ltd., Newcastle upon Tyne, England).
