The density of the fibers was determined according to Equation (1). From the fibers’ density, the fiber volume fractions were obtained at each fiber content following Equation (2).

where $w^{m}$ and $w^{F}$ are matrix and fiber weight fractions, respectively; $ρ^{c}$ and $ρ^{m}$ are the density of the composite and matrix, respectively, both measured employing a pycnometer; and the fiber density and fiber volume fraction are represented by $ρ^{F}$ and $V^{F}$ , respectively.
