Steps were counted using a tri-axial accelerometer (HJA-750C Active style Pro; Omron Healthcare, Kyoto, Japan) [25]. Participants wore the accelerometer on their waists during the intervention period, except while sleeping or bathing. We only used step count data that were collected over a period of 600 min or more of wearing time.
