After 2 h MCAO and 22 h reperfusion, the rats were anesthetized and brain tissues were collected quickly. After the brain tissues were washed with ice-cold phosphate buffer saline, brain tissues were homogenized in 9 volumes of ice-cold phosphate buffer saline. Then, the brain tissue homogenate was centrifuged at 10,000 g (4°C) for 10 min. The supernatant was collected for biochemical analysis. The total protein content of tissue homogenate was measured using commercially available kits (Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute, Nanjing, China) following the manufacturer's protocols.
