The data extracted from LIMS were cleaned and analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2016 (Microsoft Corporation, Albuquerque, NM, USA) and STATA 14.0 statistical software (StataCorp, College Station, TX, USA). Descriptive analyses including frequencies, percentages, and means were performed. Cross-tabulations were used to determine the percentages of samples that were susceptible towards each antibiotic. These percentages were presented in the form of tables and figures. Resistance percentage categories were assigned for this study to determine the trends of resistance towards the antibiotics. Chi2 tests were used to assess the significance of differences in resistance towards the selected antibiotics for 2014, 2016, and 2018. Differences with p-values less than 0.05 at a 95% confidence interval were considered significant.
