Peritoneal macrophages and liver cells from wild-type mice fed with chow or HFHC diet were lysed in RIPA buffer. Protein extracts were analyzed on SDS-PAGE and were immunoblotted with ABCA1, ABCG1, ABCA5, ABCG8, or β-actin primary antibodies (Abcam, Cambridge, MA, USA), as previously described by Ikhlef et al. [26].
