The values for the percent decrease in cell number normalized against ethanol-treated cells were used to determine the dose needed to induce 50% cytotoxicity in the spheroid assay (IC50) using a non-linear regression curve fit with GraphPad Prism 5 software (GraphPad Software, San Diego, CA, USA).
