The superoxide anion radical scavenging activity of RM12 peptide was analyzed (Sannasimuthu et al. 2018). Superoxide anion radical was produced using 50l of (2.52mM) nitrotetrazolium blue chloride followed by 50l of (624mM) NADH, and 50l of different concentrations of RM12 peptide (10, 20, 40, and 80M). Using 50l of (120g/ml) phenazine methosulfate solution, the reaction was initiated and incubated for 5min in the dark at 25C. The absorbance was determined at 560nm.
