Supernatant alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were measured using an ALT assay kit according to the manufacturer's instructions (cat. no. C009-2-1; Nanjing Jiancheng Institute of Biotechnology) and analyzed byspectrophotometry. The levels of ALT were expressed as units per liter of supernatant (U/l). Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) released into the medium solution from dead cells was measured by a LDH assay kit (cat. no. A020-2-2; Nanjing Jiancheng Institute of Biotechnology) according to the manufacturer's instructions and analyzed by spectrophotometry. The levels of LDH were expressed as units per liter of supernatant (U/l).
