After incubating the SH-SY5y cells (5 × 103/well or 1 × 104/well, 96-well plate) under the indicated conditions, MTT (500 μg/mL) was added to the cells for 2 h. The supernatants were removed and 150 μL of dimethyl sulfoxide was added to the wells to dissolve the formazan crystals formed at the bottom of the wells. The plate was read at 540 nm to obtain the OD values, which was used to calculate the cell viability as a percentage of the control.
