MutPred2 (http://mutpred.mutdb.org) is a web-based tool that classifies an amino acid substitution as disease-causing or neutral. MutPred2 uses a machine learning-based approach to predict the pathogenicity of a mutation and gives the molecular mechanism of pathogenicity. It also predicts the impact of a mutation in 50 different protein properties. If the MutPred2 score is greater than 0.5 then the mutation is pathogenic59.
