Medication adherence was assessed using a validated medication adherence score—the MARS. 20 The MARS is a 10‐item self‐reported survey that has combined elements from the Medication adherence questionnaire and the Drug Attitude inventory. Item results are weighted and added to provide a score that allows classification into non‐adherent, partially adherent, or adherent.
