Cell apoptosis was detected by Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)/propidium iodide (PI) kit (BD, USA). Briefly, cells were digested by pancreatic ferment and collected in PBS. Cells were washed with PBS and resuspended in 100 µL 1× buffer. In total, 5 µL Annexin V-FITC and PI were added. After 15 min, 400 µL 1× buffer was added to the mixture to detect apoptotic cells by flow cytometry.
