The HJHS version 2.1 is a validated measure of the ankle, knee and elbow joint health including range of movement, swelling and strength plus a category for gait performance [28]. Scoring ranges from 0 to 124; lower scores indicating better joint health. HJHS assessment was part of routine clinic review for all CYPwH, except for those with mild disease reporting no problems; for whom it was additional to usual care. Forty-five to 60 min was allowed to administer.
