The GMSEX52 is a validated, 5-item measure of distress related to sexual functioning with one’s partner, whereby individuals rate their sexual experiences on a 7-point Likert scale for the following descriptive pairs: Good vs Bad, Pleasant vs Unpleasant, Positive vs Negative, Satisfying vs Unsatisfying, and Valuable vs Worthless. Higher scores indicate better sexual satisfaction. Cronbach’s alpha for the 3 time points was α = 0.94, 0.97, and 0.96, indicating excellent internal consistency.
