2.1. Collection of Fungal Isolates and Chemicals

In 2020, a total of 76 Aspergillus isolates were isolated from infected peanut seeds obtained from seven peanut seed lots in South Georgia. These isolates were cultured on potato dextrose agar (PDA) for 7 days at 25 °C to supply inoculum.

Technical-grade azoxystrobin (95% active ingredient [a.i.]; Shandong Weifang Rainbow Chemical Co., Ltd.) was used in biological activity assays. The strobilurin fungicide was dissolved in distilled water and stored at 4 °C in the dark until required. Salicylhydroxamic acid (SHAM, 99% a.i.; Acros Organics) was dissolved in methanol to prepare a stock solution (20 mg mL⁻¹).
