The species was described following the rules and requirements of the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants [32]. Furthermore, young (3-week-old) cultures were preserved in 4 % (v/v) formaldehyde, in 15 mL glass bottles. Preserved material was then deposited in the Herbarium Hamburgense, Hamburg, Germany (HBG-024930).
