The macrophages were treated with 20 ng/mL IL-4 and 20 ng/mL IL-13 (for M2 polarization), or HepG2 cell-derived exosomes for 24 h. The macrophages surface makers CD86 (M1 marker) and CD206 (M2 marker) were analyzed by flow cytometry (BD Biosciences).
