For pathology diagnosis, SCNs are the cyst-forming serous epithelium composed of cuboidal cells with clear glycogen-rich cytoplasm and bland cytology [12]. MCNs include an epithelium lined by tall, columnar, and mucin-producing cells and a subepithelial ovarian-type stroma [13]. Malignancy is identified based on invasion of the pancreatic parenchyma or metastases [14].
