Thirty animals were randomly divided into three groups—blank, control and model groups—each containing ten mice. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (5 mg/kg) was administered intratracheally to induce ALI. NPs (10 mg/kg) were intravenously injected 1 day after LPS administration [29]. The chosen doses of these drugs were based on our previous studies and preliminary experiments.
